Ha! It's funny but true. She is 99% EBF and just slowly eating solids. She used to try everything I fed her until she discovered...PEARS. Now she wants them all the time. Whole, raw, steamed, baked, pureed, it doesn't matter. I found that I can get her to eat anything else if I mix it with pears. But if I try to feed her anything alone, even her old fave sweet potato she won't touch it.
Today for example she had kale mixed with her pears, like a green pear smoothie. She chomped it happily but even though it is bright green, when I tasted it it just tastes like....pears. So should I be concerned that she isn't getting exposed to new tastes or could over-do pears somehow?
We only feed her once a day (dinner). She's 8.5 months old and EBF other than the one meal of solids.
Anyway, just wondering if I should be concerned....?

Their taste buds are changing day to day and their palate is maturing, she'll change her tune in good time, don't worry about it. It is healthy for her to be exposed to other flavours and textures though, so at least provide that to her and if she chooses not to eat the new stuff then try it again another day. They say that you have to expose your child to a new flavour or texture 20+ times before they'll say that they "like" it.

) she'll have a new favorite. I think it's great that you're mixing it with other stuff so her gut is getting to try new things
