Resources for Christian based (conservative?) family living?

I wasn't sure if I should post this in parenting or here so mods forgive me if I'm in the wrong place.
I have recently been drawn to a more conservative Christian value lifestyle HOWEVER, (and that's a big one), I am looking for resources that promote gentle discipline and nfl/ap living.
I have found countless websites promoting Bill Gothard and while I can appreciate a few things here and there (character qualities) he teaches, I am more appalled than inspired by most of the teachings.
How do you all (if you consider yourself conservative) weed through the info out there to find things you can truly apply and learn from that you know are "safe" in terms of biblical teachings? TIA

oh it's muddy! lol it's hard to find... but if you keep looking you find a bunch of good resources.

I haven't yet found one BIG website or whatever. it's easy to find the big gotthard stuff - but it is very hard to find organizations and what not that promote gentle discipline. I have found my best support comes from other families and moms... and by just making my own way. sometimes when there isn't a support system - you gotta make one

I second, Gentle Christian Mothers. However, I still find the need for MDC for various things. I need both. And, I wouldn't want to steer you away from MDC. I have been doing A LOT of lurking over here lately. Mainly b/c I'm trying to learn more about healthy eating and menu planning and I am finding more detail posts over here. I have very little to contribute to the healthy eating threads....but, I'm benefitting greatly!
