Easier the 2nd time around?

I'm due with baby boy #2 in February and am getting anxious for his arrival. I'm also a bit nervous as to how our breastfeeding relationship is going to go. With DS, it was no problem. He latched on right away and was breastfed for almost 3 months - I had low supply and had to end up supplementing with formula. Before I knew it, I dried up.

So, if you had problems EBF your first child, was it easier for you with the 2nd child?

I sure hope its easier second time around. I pumped exclusively for 11.5 months and REALLY do not want to do that again. My son never latched properly at all and the 'help' I got was near useless.

Im actually more anxious about breastfeeding than I am about giving brith

It was way, way, WAY easier the second time! I had such a hard time with DS1 - it took 4 months before I didn't cry everytime and then my milk dried up at 7 months or so With DS2 I was determined that I was *not* going to nurse but when he was born the nurses put him up to latch on and it was a piece of cake from the get go.

That is so awesome! I guess I'm mainly worried about my supply. Keeping that up and pumping (which I loathed but needed to a few times).... Just a lot on my mind.

Word.

And yes, this has been far easier and I'm nursing a preemie to boot. We're going on 4 mos. and hope to continue for as many months as we can.
