Free, online asessments?

Looking for those that show what grade level a child is at in reading and/or math, or something along those lines. I did a search, here and online, but only found paid tests, or those that start at third grade -- my hs kids are 5.5 and not-quite-7, and they're not working two or more grade levels ahead -- so that doesn't quite work for us.

I just want a baseline -- Dh and I aren't concerned, just curious!

saxon math has a placement test. i'm sure other math programs do as well, and it should give an idea of what "grade" level your children may be. as for reading, i've used the placement test at sonlight before and felt it was fairly accurate: http://www.sonlight.com/quick-reading-assessment.html

K12 also has their placement stuff online, as does Singapore math. I really like Sonlight's reading assessment- and it's been a big help to then go to that level and get more book suggestions.
