How to look up c-section rates?

I'm planning to have a HB for this baby, but I want to look up the stats on my local hospital, just to have the information. Has anyone found a convenient way to look up this kind of data?

I was only able to find something that lists the rate by state:

I contacted someone at our state department of health, and she emailed me a file with stats on all the hospitals I wanted. The state website didn't get specific enough.

www.thebirthsurvey.com has data for some (not all.)
It's actually a law in NY that hospitals must disclose that data, I believe MA or one other New England state as well.
ICAN is another good source.

The birth survey gets much of the data by calling state department's of health, so if the birth survey doesn't already have it for your state, if you DO call to get it, definitely pass it on to them so they can share.

I found a link on my state's Dept of Health that showed some of the c-section rates by hospital. I don't think it was an overall rate, but I do remember seeing a rate for first time, low risk moms who were having a singleton birth. I think that rate also excluded women having a c-section for breech. So, short story, try your state's Dept of Health.
