Evan 13 Christian 12 and Ethan 10, got free movie tickets to the Mall of America (I won them on the radio). I have been saving them so they could go see Avatar.
Today they all came into the kitchen while I was baking, and said they wanted to give away the tickets to kids that might not have gotten as much as they did.
For the record it was a very sparse Christmas here. My dh has had slow work, not the usual. So we only spent about 50$ a kid, usually we spend about 150$ a kid. They never complained and understood like little adults.
Today they said they felt lucky they got Christmas gifts and think that maybe other kids didn't get anything or not as much and they want to give away the tickets on craigslist to a family that can use it. They said that they want to see Avatar but want to use their own money they saved up to see it.
I am feeling very proud right now! They do have a stipulation that whoever gets the tickets has to have kids, but I don't think that is asking too much.
Sorry just had to share, my little boys are turning into awesome young men.
