Can I use Dr. Bronner's as laundry detergent?

I'm out of detergent. Can I use Dr. Bronner's in the machine? Can I use plain baking powder? Thanks so much in advance.

The body soap? I did when we ran out of our detergent before and it worked fine. Just remember that it is pretty concentrated and you only need a few squirts, not a whole cup.

I did it for a whole month once when I was seriously minimalist--some vinegar in the rinse will help prevent build up too....

Thanks ladies. I just used it.

Dr. Bronner's liquid lavender soap + baking powder = wonderfully clean clothes!
