Anyone a Lionbridge Internet Assessor? - Page 3

What I read was that you get paid 30 days after the end of the billing period. So if you work from Feb 1 - Feb 28, you won't get paid until sometime in April...? Then paid in May for March, etc etc. I believe it's every 30 days once they get you set up.
I think I read it on the New Raters page, on the main portal.

Thanks! I did find it on the portal. I see that the next billing date is Feb 28th that will payed on Apr 9th. The bad thing is that I just started and will not have many hours then. I guess I will have to wait till May 12th to get my money. Kinda makes my stomach turn thinking of waiting 3 months. Oh and when you started did you log your hours in yourself? I started a few days ago and have done a lot of work in those 4 days thinking they were keeping track of it. They just sent me a link to the timesheet today but there is nothing on it and they didn't say anything about how to use it.

I log into and fill in my time sheet everytime I finish working, even if it was only for 10 minutes. I keep a notebook handy where I write the start time, write the type of task, and keep track of how many tasks I've done. When I'm done I go and put it in right away just so I don't forget.

Send an email to the folks who deal w/ time sheets (that address should be on the right-hand side of the New Rater's Page) and ask them about the unlogged hours.

It's very confusing when you first start. I feel like there isn't much help for newbies and that is frustrating.

I am glad you all are enjoying the work! It is just not my cup of tea. (It's hard to know exactly what this entails until you take the exams.)

My brain was on overload after just the first test and I knew then it was not for me. I do think it's a great WAH opportunity though!

I've been using the freeware "lionbridge task control" to keep track of hours and such. It creates a log file, so if you forget to enter it into your timesheet, you can go back and be fairly accurate. You just need to note the type of task you're working on.

And yeah, there could be more introductionary stuff... but I've found some nice tutorials about the work itself on the portal.

I think I heard back 3 days after applying. All of my communication thus far has been through email.

hey ladies

I am considering doing this on the side (I sent in my application over the weekend). Before I go through the trouble of the tests and such, would someone disclose how much the pay is? Is it paid per job, per hour? Also, in the other job listings (which I don't qualify for, because I can't promise to work 4 hours a day between x and x time) they sounded more permanent. This one sounds like it might be harder to come by work?

Anyways, if someone could tell me how much the pay is so I can decide if I want to move forward if/when they contact me. Feel free to PM if you would prefer that!

It took them a couple of weeks to get back to me. I had pretty much given up on them when I got an email saying that I needed to fix something on my application. I applied about a month ago, and I just now passed the first part of the exam and have until Thursday morning to finish the second part.

I'm in the process of applying for this now. When they have attachments, should I just attach a resume. Did anyone put in references as well? I know it says you only need the English Compentancy Certificate if requested, which I doubt they will request from me (as I am native to the USA).

I'm also a bit confused about what goes in the "data overview section".
Any advice..

I just attached a resume. One of subsections on the resume is references which simply says that they are available on request. I don't remember the data overview section????

great!!! yesterday night I did the first part of the exam and I passed!!! I'm so happy...now I must complete all the 150 tasks...is it more difficult than the first part or not???

For me, the second part was easier since I'm horrible at math which was most of the first part.

My advice would be to rate each task but only submit the ones your absolutely sure of (such as the vitals or off topics) and then go back and recheck your ratings when you're done. Your understanding of how to rate does grow quite a bit as you move through the tasks and there are some I submitted early on that I wish I hadn't.

For those who went through the testing process, how long did it take to hear back about your results? I did the theoretical and knew within minutes that I passed it. I completed the practical portion monday afternoon and still haven't heard anything. Does that mean I didn't pass? Just wondering as there has been no news, good or otherwise.

You should hear back from them sometime on the day the test is due, if I remember correctly. Good luck!

That's how it's "supposed" to go down, but it took them about 3 days to get back to me. I know the waiting is brutal!
