How long do I freeze flour?

Thread Starter
I just bought a 50lb bag of vital gluten flour not that long ago and finally got around to emptying out space in my freezer to stick it in there.

FYI I just have a regular little freezer on top of a smallish fridge...so it is taking up about 50% or more of my freezer space so I'd like to get it out of there ASAP.

Then again...this bag cost me $100 and I reaaaaaaally want it to last for all of 2010 - bug free

How many days does it need to be in my freezer? I then plan on transferring it into a plastic bucket (My fridge can't hold it either).

Any other tips or advice? This bulk buying is a first time thing for me...an attempt to save money throughout the year, so I'm hoping it doesn't end up being a bust!

TIA!

I do mine for about a week or so. But be careful that your storage is bug-impenetrable, too!
