Reducing the Number of Nighttime Feedings

DD is 6 months old, EBF and I need to figure out a way to cut back on the number of times she eats during the night. Before anyone thinks I'm starving my baby...she currently eats at least 8 times between 9 pm and 7 am. I'd just really like to find a gentle way to space them out a bit...maybe every 2-3 hours instead of every hour? During the day she eats every 2-3 hours so in a 24 hour period we have upwards of 13 nursing sessions.

We've recently dealt with the food sensitivity issue which was keeping her up (gassy) but at this point she just wakes up and wants to nurse. If I don't immediately accommodate her, she freaks out. I just need a little more sleep!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

ETA: We co-sleep with her right next to me.

The No-Cry Sleep Solution has a great strategy for this. It takes a couple of weeks and some serious dedication, but supposedly it works! I tried it but not whole-heartedly, and Peepers went from 1-2 hour stretches to 2-3 hour stretches, so it helped a bit!

Thanks! I'll get a copy of that ASAP. I was really hoping addressing her allergies/sensitivities would fix things but no such luck.
