So I went in for my appt and am suddenly measuring 42 wks (I'm barely 37) and have had a jump in amniotic fluid - too much fluid the dr says (a level of 33 - up from 26 from a U/S two weeks ago). Baby is not bigger than she should be and I do not have any sugar in my urine and my GD test was great so they don't know what's causing it. I have to now go in twice a week to make sure baby's ok. I'm worried. Anyone have any experience with this? I need to do some research but I thought I'd check in here first. Is there anything I can do about it? Is that much of a jump something to worry about in and of itself?

I was told I had poly at 20 weeks, and started NST's 2x a week at 33 weeks. Same scenario, baby was normal, quad screen was normal, GD passed, I just had "extra water in the swimming pool" as the fetal development doc told me.
The biggest thing with it for me, anyway, was they were cautious about messing with my cervix, because DD could "float" out of position and allow the cord to slip between my cervix and her head. I was a bit nervous about having my water break early, but it didn't until 30 seconds before I hit 10cm.

I had polyhydraminos with DS2 and I have slightly elevated levels with this baby.
My Dr. said that 60% of ph has no known cause, just one of those things.
I noticed that I did not feel the baby much because he could float and so I didn't feel kicks and such.
I had my water broke for me so that the baby could be positioned off of his cord. If your water breaks you could have the cord prolapse, which is what they told me anyway.
Other than that, baby and I were both super fine
