Do you change sposies as frequently as cd's?

If you part time cd, or use sposies on vacations and trips, do you change sposies as frequently as you do cloth?

How often do you change sposies?

(the following doesn't really matter- just me rambling lol)
I've considered using sposies for vacations, but ds pees very frequently. So I'd either have to intentionally let him sit in a sposie that I know is wet, or go through a lot of sposies. I've always just ended up using cloth. I know sposies don't *feel* wet, but there is still pee on them, kwim? Plus they aren't breathable.

He easily goes through 10+ cd's during the day. (that's not including night time.)

We use sposies sometimes at night. I don't really like washing cd's at other people's homes- they never seem to get as clean as I get them here. I'd be happy using sposies on trips, but haven't decided how it would work, with not really wanting to leave him in a wet dipe vs. going through lots of sposies.

We use sposies at night some times and they make it the night (sometimes) so I would imagine you could let him go longer.

I totally feel you about knowing he is sitting wet. Are you just using PF? I know those always get cleaner (IMO) with less hassle. Also, if you are away for a while laundry mats have super hot water and get dipes really clean!

As a whole yes I changed jsut as often with sposies as CDs however I also did say use sposies at night because she could stay dry and cloth stay dry fabrics gave her rashes.. I also did sposies for long car trips where we might not have the ability to say change as wet so I choose to do a sposie but when able to I didn't push the sposie longe than cloth.

Maybe I don't have as good CD as the rest of you. They're pockets that were made at home. But, I have to change them a lot more than when I have DD in sposies.

Well my thing was in cloth or sposies I changed as wet so if shes gave a full pee and flooded the diaper or jsut a little leak I'd change eaither.. However because yes she felt drier in sposies if I was in a situation where I might not be able to change as wet the sposie was pushed a bit longer and I felt more comfortable allowing a sposie to go longer than a cloth but overall I change as soon as wet regardless of type.

No. That's the whole point of using disposables for me. I put them in a sposie when we're going to go far away and be gone all day. I use sposies at night and use the overnight versions and they don't get changed unless they poop. I do change them frequently though, but when they're in cloth they get changed every 2-3 hours. In a sposie, I would say they go up to 4 hours. I know some people, like some former neighbors of mine, who would leave their kid in the same diaper for most of the day. Now that's gross to me.

I use sposies when we are out and about. If I know it's wet and it is convenient to change him, I do. If I know it is poopy, I change it wherever we are (I have even pulled over the car, lol). That said, I sometimes forget because he doesn’t complain that he is wet (with cloth, he’ll get fussy). I’ll go for over two hours at a friend’s house before I think about it sometimes

Actually one of the things I like about cloth is that I don't feel guilty about changing frequently.

When we were using sposies I'd feel a pang of guilt every time I chucked one in the trash, esp if it was barely wet. I didn't want to leave DD sitting in a wet diaper but hated the wastage.

In cloth I usually change about every two hours or as soon as she poops.

Now I only use sposies on plane trips where I don't want to lug around a bag of dirty diapers. So yeah, I change them less frequently - but that's bc it's a PITA to change a diaper on a plane (esp since my dd typically sleeps through the flight otherwise).

When the diaper gets *really* full, every 2-3 hrs or so. And if they poop, you want to get that off right away, because sometimes it will actually fall off from the weight of the poop. Blech. (so, so gross!--my 3.5 yr old wears disposable pull-ups and fights tooth and nail when I try to change him, and, well, sometimes there are accidents. Nasty ones.)

i love disposals
but i use cloth diapers
i use cloth diapers at home
and ds when we go out and when she goes to bed
i tried cd when we went out in the beginning, and she got a rash due to humidity (i live in the south, one step outside and you're already persperating)

tried cd for bedtime
yeah ill never try that anymore
waking up all the time to change her diaper when in reality all we both wanted to do was get some sleep lol

I use sposies for going out and overnight and sometimes at home if my ds has been giving me a really hard time (he's a big squirmer) about staying still to get a new diaper on, I'll put a sposie on him just so I don't have to change him again so soon.

With cloth I change him every 1 - 1.5 hours. Sposies about every 3 hours.

We rarely use sposies, but when we do we do not change as frequently. With cloth we change when he wakes up and before a nap, with sposies we don't change before a nap because they are expensive.

I LOVE cloth though and the only reason we'd use sposies was for a trip or when I sent in my diaper shells to be converted to snaps. Cloth always works better and holds up longer for us.
