My dad got me a $200 Home Depot gift certificate for Christmas. 
I made a bunch of toys, 2 doll houses, cubbies, and a play fridge for my kids for christmas with pine and a borrowed scroll saw.
I really want a band saw and probably a dremel. I should have money for poplar after that to build playstands for my 2 year old.
Is it possible to get a straight cut with a band saw? I found it nearly impossible with the scroll saw I was using. Is a handheld router expensive? Worth it? Are there attachments you can get for a dremel, etc. that would do the same basic things -like round edges, make grooves, etc.- cheaper?
Any other must haves I should get? I'm really excited!
Are there any particular times when Home Depot has good power tool sales? I think my dad says in OH that they have a big sale in January...
