my DD who had dairy/ soy intolerance as an infant had the green poo. Cut out dairy/ soy (read ingredients on boxed crackers/cereal bars b/c its in everything! if there isn't dairy there is soy...)

She has now outgrown the dairy (at 3 years old) but only cultured dairy such as cheese or yogurt... but we don't drink cow milk, anyway

She had a horrid diaper rash the ped. thought was yeast and the bacterial infection, and eventually Colitis (brown blood in stool)

We cut the dairy and soy (and acidic foods like orange juice, etc... ) and everything magically cleared up within a few weeks... the rash went away, and she was a happy baby.

Nico seems fine with the dairy, and I don't eat much soy at all... but chocolate seems to hurt his tummy/cause more spit up. So no chocolate for this mama (which is okay 'cause I don't really need it these days )

I hope everyone figures out their babies!

Carrying baby with belly on your forearm can sometimes help a gassy babe , across your chest... edit to add like this:

and the bicycle/ froggy jumps with the feet...

I am suspecting that our one-month old also has some reflux issues. She will not go to sleep on her back and just wails and screams. It's heartbreaking.

So that means the only times she sleeps deeply and/or well is either in her swing, in her carseat, or in her bouncy chair. And of course in my arms as well.

We have her one-month visit to the ped tomorrow morning, so I am hoping to get some feedback on this and perhaps some solutions to make the baby more comfortable. Poor things. It's so hard to watch them struggle!

Am jealous you have these options! Avett will ONLY SLEEP laying on my chest which is cute but I am seriously over it. I want to sleep laying down AND I feel like it's an unsafe sleeping situation that nobody should get used to.

I ahve been holding this kid straight for 72 hours with only minute breaks here and there to go to the bathorrom and whatnot. When will he be OK laying in his swing or chair for longer than 3 minute stretches?! I'm going bananas.

Just keep trying. I'm in the same boat, but yesterday I managed to sneak away after Everett was sound asleep for a whole 10 minutes before he woke. That's quite a feat in this house considering the sound volume is usually on HIGH with two older kids running about. It'll get easier as she gets older. Some babies are just more clingy. My DD was and it was very difficult her first year. She's now a very independent 4 year old. This too shall pass...
