Who's getting ready for LOST?!!?! - Page 2

I didn't read all the other posts because I haven't finished season 5 yet. Our goal is to finish before the new season starts but we've been so busy! I can't wait to see the new season!

Theories and such

There's a good discussion forum at the Lostpedia website, with theories, spoilers, etc. Also Dark UFO has spoilers and other stuff.

I don't have the mental energy to rewatch all the shows. All the twists and turns are exhausting me at this point! I'll probably try to track down those recap episodes they have now and then and just watch those. I can't wait to find out what happened, what with Juliette hitting the button and all. (She pushed it right?!) Just thinking about that moment still gives me shivers. I remember I was crying a lot.

February 2. I can't believe we're finally down to the last season.

I have all 5 seasons on DVD and restarted (for the millionth time )

The explaination that was given on the show about the pregnancy test was that one of the passengers had it and Sawyer just scooped it up along with the rest of the stuff he horded.

I can't wait until the new season starts, but it's also bittersweet, because after these 16 episodes air LOST will be no more

I can't wait for next week!!!!!!! But I can't believe it's the last season.

I am SO EXCITED, but hubby and I are only planning on re-watching the last two before the new one, then will wait until the season ends to watch the rest! It will be TORTURE but SO much easier to follow when watched all at once instead of on TV. We have never seen a season on TV only DVD or downloaded all at once (well, over a few days at least!) otherwise they just don't make as much sense and it's hard to follow.

I feel like such a dork, but I am beyond excited! I've been refreshing on hulu.

Okay can somebody explain something else to me...in Season 4 (episode "Ji Yeon") where Sun has the baby in the "flash forward"...I do NOT get what is going on with Jin. Is Jin's stuff a flash BACK? How he goes to the hospital with a gift and you keep thinking it's for his baby but it's not, and he says "it wasn't my baby". I've never understood that part.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't re-watched all the seasons, but I'm pretty sure they were showing a flash forward and a flash back at the same time. Jin was in the past getting a present for his boss's (I think?) baby being born. Sun was in the future having her and Jin's baby. Jin isn't there. If I'm totally wrong, then sorry if I confused you.

So I wonder why that was relevant? I knew Jin wasn't there in the future, since he never left the island, but why did they show those clips with Sun's baby being born? I can't make sense of what that had to do with it?

It was foreshadowing what was to come (Jin being caught in the past--1977 and Sun being in the present).

I'm sorry, I'm SOOOOO dumb. I still don't get it. Foreshadowing WHAT, exactly? Like just showing that Jin would be so excited to be having his own baby eventually?

No -- foreshadowing them being caught in two different times. They were eluding to or tricking us with the fact that Jin would have been so excited about his own baby but then we realize he is back in (what year ... 1996? 200? can't remember) and then when Sun goes back to the island they are truly caught in two different times. It was a glimpse of what was to come. Them not only being separated by space (on the island/off the island) but time as well, since Jin is really back in 1977, so when Sun goes back to him she can't be with him still. Just like Jin running to the hospital might seem like he is running to Sun and we, the audience see that he is in the wrong year.

I thought he got it from the plane in one of the suitcases? They elude to it.

I think they did it to tease people and make them *think* Jin made it off the island, but then we find out not later on. It seems they were just messing with our heads.
