Finally got it written out... it's long, and I know I've forgotten some details, but thought I'd share.

There are pictures of her on my journal that are public too...

I'm so happy your little girl is here! it sounds like it was a long journey to get to this point, and now you have a baby in your arms!

Thought I'd share that I had to go in last night for an emergency D&C for a 2-inch piece of retained placenta.... it was getting infected, no wonder my bleeding never slowed down and I was passing huge clots. They gave me a unit of blood, which has helped. I'm home and back to breastfeeding, thank goodness.

Hopefully this is the last complication!

I'm so sorry you had to go through that But, glad that what was causing the issue was found, and fixed, so hopefully you can proceed to recover fully and enjoy your babymoon from here on out!

How did baby do while you were gone?

I'm glad she's here with you.

Talking to a friend of mine this week, she was told that her PPH was caused by retained clots- horrid things, they seem to cause more problems than anyone would ever realise.

She did great... actually, Daddy brought her to the hospital and stayed with her. I got to breastfeed her right before I went into surgery, and she got to come into recovery as soon as I was awake. I'm very grateful... my SIL flew in from Chicago to be with us and she was able to stay with Emma all night while Mommy rested (but woke every few hours to pump and then fall back asleep).

I'm sorry you had to go through that, but I'm glad they were finally able to discover the problem and take care of it. Heal quickly!
