Now I'm not able to do much of anything and so I have all of this pent up energy. In past cycles I've gone back to the gym and have done the elliptical machine and just took time off from running and riding. This time I'm being much more careful. Walking should be safe though, right? Maybe walking a couple of miles in the morning would help. I'm going to go crazy if I don't do something.
I think backing off from the exercise is the right idea even though it's really hard for you. Lovely walks should be the perfect thing to do now. It's beautiful outside and that's a nice calming active way to move right now.

Thanks Poet. I think you're right. I walked a few miles before work this morning and feel like a human being again!

I'm really glad that the walk made you feel better this morning.

Today is the day. I got my blood drawn this morning and will be getting a phone call this afternoon. Unfortunately, I had a few minutes of cramping this morning that felt awfully familiar so I'm not holding out much hope.

I hope the cramping was just your uterus adjusting to its new inhabitant! I am crossing my fingers for you.

Oh DaisyMae, hoping so much for you today. Such a hard day. Sending all the best for a positive result.
Um.....so my test was positive. Sort of. I asked them to test me a day earlier than they wanted to because of plans we had (which got canceled anyway) so they told me that if it was positive it might be on the low side because we were testing early and if that was the case they'd have to bring me back a couple days later for another test.

So I think (hope) that's what's happening, but the number was pretty low. It was 21 yesterday and I'm trying to figure out what it might have been if I waited until today....how close to "normal" would it have been. They like to see it between 50 and 100 on the correct testing day. The other time I got a positive I did it on the correct day and it was only 14 so this is much better than that.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me. Hoping I just have a slow starter here and that testing early skewed things!

Oh, and I go back on Monday for another test.
DaisyMae, that is super exciting! I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that Monday's test is more reassuring!

Oh DaisyMae, sending you mega vibes for doubling numbers, a sticky bean and an all around healthy pregnancy. How many dp retrieval were you?
13 days post retrieval. Ugh. This is torture.

I took a home test this morning - not with fmu - and it turned positive very quickly and was pretty dark. Hopefully that's a good sign along with the diarrhea I've had the last couple of days. And today I feel exhausted and achy all over. Maybe that hcg is making big jumps. I certainly hope so!

I hope so too! It sounds promising.

Daisy-praying for doubling today.

Kelly-I think your having twins by the looks of your siggie. Congrats.

I see the thread is still active so figured I'd update everyone. Well the Sher Institute has the magic touch and we are finally preggo after 31months TTC, 3IUI's, 1 FET, and 3 fresh IVF. 1st cycle with Sher Institute in NYC. Although it was a rough cycle, had 26eggs and only 3 fertilized. Embryologist said she hasn't seen anything like it in over 10yrs. Seem our embryos go crazy and form multiple nucleus some even up to 10 nucleus, which was y we had none to transfer last cycle with old Re and he never did ICSI which is one of the reasons I switched. So we transferred all 3 grade 2, 7-cell, 7-cell, and 5-cell. We had our first US last week and saw 2 sacs, 1 with hb and 1 with possible hearbeat, but it was very early. 2nd ultrasound set for 5/19 and will be almost 8 wks then so hoping for 2 strong heartbeats. Also have OHSS again and had to be drained. It's getting better now but still look about 4-5 months pregnant, which is rough cause only our mom's know the good news. Been a tough couple weeks but it has all been worth it. Just trying to still believe I am actually pregnant, it's so hard to grasp. It's like I just want my own US in the house so I could check everyday. lol. Hope everyone else is doing well and thanks for always being there.

Well, my number went from 21 to 192! I got a voicemail, and unfortunately didn't get to speak with anyone, but the nurse said that my number has gone up very nicely and that I need to schedule an ultrasound for May 21st. She said I can go back for another bloodtest if I want to just for my own peace of mind - and I may do that. So I am cautiously optimistic here. Still nervous. Hard not to be after 3 years!

I am tearfully happy to read this thread today!

Mom to A, I have been thinking about you but not wanting to push for an update. I am SO glad to hear your good news! I also needed a very specific miracle cycle and I can so sympathize with the way this one unfolded for you. Sorry about the OHSS. You've been through the ringer but oh joy, I am thrilled you are pregnant. I will be thinking of you and your little ones and wishing the best for a long-deserved and lovely pregnancy.

DMae, When I read you were having quick positive tests over the weekend I was thinking that seemed like a really good sign. Your beta #s today seem really great. I am so happy to see you in this place. I know it might still feel like a one-day-at-a-time journey but so far so good. How wonderful to see you pregnant here.

It's so crazy when pregnancy is possible but we require the finer art and science of IVF experts to get there. I am so happy to see you both begin what I hope will be beautiful pregnancies. Wishing you all the best!

And coincidentally, MomtoA and I both joined the forums in Oct. 2008! After almost three years of trying, it's hard not to be anxious. It has certainly been a trying journey!

Daisy-Congrats sweetie, so happy for you, your right we have been through this together from the beginning. What is your due date. Mine is 12/31/10. I laughed at the Re and said after all this imagine I'm on the cover of the paper for the first New Years baby.lol. Wishinig you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Poet-Thanks so much, you are so wonderful and have always been such an inspiration to me. Actually if it wasn't for you I wouldn't of gone to the Sher Institute so I hold you responsible for part of my success.. Can't believe your due soon, how exciting feels like just yesterday you got your BFP. Wishing you a great delivery and thanks for always being here for us.

Mom to A and DaisyMae, I am SO THRILLED for both of you! Congratulations!

I don't go for my u/s until the 28th, but when I used an online due date calculator it came out to somewhere between January 13 and 15 depending on whether they started from LMP or "ovulation". I'm still anxious about this as it's so early. I don't think I'll be able to relax until at least that first ultrasound!
