Nightweaning and periods...

My dd is almost 17 months old and nurses very frequently. I haven't had a PPAF yet. We're in the process of nightweaning (or partially nightweaning). This is our first week of trying it, and it appears that she's taking to it really easily! Last night she went 11 hours without nursing!! Which is huge considering I've been nursing her every 2 hours for the past year! Anyway, I'm wondering...will this long stretch at night help me to resume my fertility? I'm interested in hearing some personal stories of how long after nightweaning did AF resume. BTW, I'm not nightweaning to encourage fertility at all, just that I was so burnt out with nursing her 4-6 times a night...but, we would like to have another one sometime in the near future Thanks!

DD is 18 months and has been nursing only before bed time for 2 months now and I still haven't had a period. But I'm now taking herbs to induce a period per my ND. She feels I need to have one. I have hormonal issues tho so my situaiton may be different then yours. My periods have always been irregular. I would imagine tho that after NW you would get a cycle.
