looking to switch to a different CD

i currently have 12 bumGenius 3.0 and 7 Bummis SWW w/ 24 prefolds. i have a newborn and a just turned 2 year old (he has been in CD his whole life until recently when new baby arrived.) i love the bumgenius except that i have to wash em like 3 or 4 times and use bleach to get rid of smell from the liners. the bummis worked great. but now i am thinking of selling bumgenius and looking for something that cleans better.
any suggestions?
i have done everything to clean theBG's but they still smell.

Its prob the microfiber. A lot of mamas have that same problem. A cheaper solution would be to get different inserts. I use JoeyBunz or pf's in my pockets w/o any smell issues. The Joeybunz are definitely the trimmest too. HTH

yeah its not the BG its the microfiber. I would buy new inserts or just use pfs as inserts. I have issues with mine sometimes as well and I am a BG lover!!!!

I don't have that problem with my BGs. What detergent are you using? How much of it are you using?

Just fold your prefolds in thirds and use those as the inserts for the bumGenius.

Or, bumGenius has microfiber towels that you fold in thirds and use as inserts. They have much less of an issue with smell b/c they open up into one layer and so get much cleaner than the regular inserts which have 3 layers sewn together.
