motherease are awesome b/c the soakers arent completely sewn in making drying time less. I love Bumgenius aios but they take a year to dry and nanas bottoms aios are super tiny but again with the drying time.

Just one thing to think about. Often, with newborns, your best bet is prefolds. Newborns are so small that it is hard to find an AIO that will provide a good fit. It might be easier to deal with prefolds than to deal with leaks.

Or a fitted that you could use with a cover. A Kissaluvs or Happy Heiny NB size might work.

Good luck.

My dd just had her baby Dec 1, we are using thirsties xs aio's, rumperooz. For newborn stage we also like fitteds and use thirsties fab fitteds also.

i registered for the bumgenius AIO's for the husband to use. he isnt exactly on board with cloth diapers, so that's why we need some AIOs. i have tons of prefolds i will use. thanks!!

I had several different types of nb AIOs with DS and he was way, way too small for all of them at birth. This time I bought several of the Rumparooz lil joeys and they are significantly smaller than any of DS's old diapers and I think they might have actually fit him at birth. I haven't tried them out yet but they have those lovely gussets that the OS Rumparooz do which I think will be great for nb poop.

oooh, you totally convinced me to change to the lil joeys! not just because of the adorable name, but i love the idea of the inner gusset. excited to try them! and they seem to be a smidge cheaper than bumgenius....thanks!!

My favorite NB AIO has been Very Baby AIOs. They fit SO well on my skinny babies and are super trim. They also hold that liquid poo in VERY well!

My all time favorite for a newborn, besides prefolds, is BabyKicks Organic Fitted. I've been using it on DS#2 since he was 3 days old and it fits like no other one size diaper (which don't fit a newborn). It's design is neat, and it can be stuffed for different absorbency as baby grows plus can be used a training pant when the time comes. I use it on both my kiddos and it is my absolute . It does require a cover, but since it fits from birth thru potty learning it is cheaper than aio's

Could anyone comment on the drying time of the Lil Joeys?

I have used sized BumGenius and Thirsties pocket AIOs (not for NB, though) and my biggest complaint is drying time, even after doing the extra step of turning them inside out before sticking them in the dryer. Not to mention I can't imagine fitting my hand inside a NB size pocket AIO diaper to turn it inside out!
