9.5 MO weaning? xp BF challenges

Hi Mamas

I'm kind of freaking out. My 9.5 month old daughter won't nurse....laying at the breast with half-hearted sucks. She's on solids, and loves them. Right now she just doesn't want the breast, but food. I work and come home once a day to feed her, and she gets solids and ~4 oz of expressed BM during that time. I feed her when I get home ~4ish. Could she be weaning? I would be less concerned about her interest in BM if I thought I could keep my supply up but either my supply is already dropping or I'm not able to let down to the pump anymore (I used to be able to express a lot, and quickly).

I could cry (actually, I already have).

I'd lean first towards a "nursing strike". Kellymom and the forums here have good info on how to handle.

Id say nursing strike also. My 10m old just went threw one.. he is still BF about 8 times a day and 3 times at night, he went down to 3 times in the day and once at night (which was nice.. lol) but than got back to his norm. I might have been offering it more than I should have?? But I wouldn't think its weaning.

IS she getting bottles while you're away from her? Maybe cut them out for awhile and have her use a sippy until you get this sorted out. Slack back on the solids as well. You 're always supposed to nurse first (offer BM first) before solids in the first 12 months. Solids shouldn't come first until after the 1st year.
