Sam's, or Costco?? - Page 2

Costco. Again, for the fact that Sam's is Walmart and I won't shop there.

Also, my hubby is a union guy... can't do Walmart because it makes me feel bad.

Yay for the resolution of the Coke situation! DH will be extremely happy for that!

Like some other PP's 100% costco. We have the higher membership currently, but I've had the regular membership before through work. Also costco offers from manufacturers coupons once in awhile. You get these sent to you with your higher membership, but typically folks will leave some in carts & I just ask the customer service desk if they have extras and they usually do.
Overall I make 1 trip a month to Costco, (includes a fill-up of gas at the store) for key items.

I do have a Sam's closer to me, but I've never been happy with their service or products and yah - sam's is walmart and in having to work there once I am not in favor of their employment practices.

Yeah, and there are frequently coupons for the namebrand dipes, too. That brings them down to the same price as the Kirkland ones.

We have no choice. Sam's is the only warehouse option in our area and it's only a mile from our house. If I want to join Costco, I have to drive over an hr away. Not worth it. In fact, I went to Costco with my mom the earlier this wk and was very disappointed. I've heard so many ppl online rave about how great Costco is, I think I had really high expectations. 90% of the stuff is the same stuff that sam's carries, but more expensive by $1-$2. That adds up. The other 10% of the stuff are organics, mostly costco's own brand. So, I spent over $100 buying many of those organics to try them out and if I like them, I'll just have my mom get them for me when she goes and pay her back if there are items that I really like. If it was a lot better than sam's, we would have sprung for the membership. However, seeing how we'd have to waste 2 hrs and gasoline to get there, it's not worth it. I also find that sam's club is less cluttered looking than costco, b/c the aisles are bigger.

BTW, sam's DOES have mexican coke. That's where we buy it at.

I've never been in a Sam's but Costco is great to their employees.

Kirkland Signature brand is great, and many times is brand name with KS on it. I know for a fact that their soy milk is Silk, because it used to say KS by Silk. I love their babby wipes and if you need dipes the KS are actually Huggies.

Sam's is just a warehouse version of WM. I'm not huge fan of Walmart, but currently it's one of our only options for shopping due to finances

We have a Sam's membership due to a deep freezer purchase last winter that saved us much money. And we have literally been waiting for the Sam's membership to end so we can get a Costco membership instead. Besides the employment standards/care, which of course is important, out Sam's Club (which is in a metropoitan area) only carries literally 2-3 organic items in the entire store. When going to Costco with a friend a few years backa couple of times there were many more options there. The prices at Sam's are off and on depending on the item and the week, but now with baby #3 on the way, we'll definitely get a Costco membership. Hope this helps, though you might want to walk your own 2 stores if the merchandise will decide this for you.

Kirkland diapers are Huggies Supreme knockoffs. IMO, they work better for DS than Pampers.
