Which form of Rescue Remedy should I pack in my hospital bag?

I've noticed there are drops, a spray, cream, and chewable pastilles. Which would be good during labor?

I would say the chewable pastilles. The only reason being, I wouldn't want to explain in great detail, while in labor, to every single health care worker who walks into the room why my breath smells like whiskey.

I would go with the drops. This will encourage you to drink plenty of water/fluids whilst in labour. Just had this conversation with my friend - my thought was pastilles or the spray but she made a very good point about getting the drops to put in water so I can stay hydrated throughout. This is also one simple step you can take (staying hydrated) to prevent any hemorrhaging.

Suppose it wouldn't hurt to also get the pastilles. I always have these around anyhow as they are handy for my son. That way, if you are in a position/feeling/place during labour where you really can't be sucking on a straw - you can have someone quickly pop one in your mouth as needed.

But really - id go with the drops first.

Good point, I wouldn't have thought of that. But if it were me, I'd probably still use the drops. While the drops work wonders for me, the chewables didn't do a thing. I find them more frustrating then helpful to be honest. Could just be me.

They do get stuck in your teeth - that could be annoying whilst in labour lmao.

It's a flower/herbal tincture that helps relax you during times of stress and anxiety. A good friend of mine takes around around when she transitions to help with the feeling of losing control. IMHO, I would definitely try it before labor if you think you want to use it to see how it effects you. I'm the random wierdo that gets panic attacks after the stuff wears off every time and can't use it.

Has anyone tried the alcohol free kind? It's labeled as "alcohol free" "for kids"

Hmm, we bought rescue remedy for our dog who suffers from separation anxiety. Never thought about it for labour. That's why I keep coming back here, so many tips and things I learn!

I usually use drops, but in my last labor had the spray handy I and recommend it. I had a death grip on the bottle after my delivery and it was easy to spray as many doses as I needed (a lot!) without fumbling with the dropper. I have never used the pastilles.
