Moisturizer question

Thread Starter
I have a moisturizer by Designer Skin (Tainted Love) and it has a "touch of sunless tanner"
I used this after I got out of the tanning bed, whenever I tanned. But haven't since. Would this be safe to use now? I've heard different things on sunless tanners while preggo, but this isn't technically classified as a sunless tanner.. the bottle says "sun-kissed daily moisturizer"
What do you think? I'm just asking because I'm looking ghostly pale these days!

no, I absolutely would not use it, if it were me. Most things that you put on your skin are absorbed into your body to some degree or another. And that's not something I would risk.

Embrace your lovely paleness! Enjoy having lovely creamy skin, with that pregnant glow. If you really feel the need, use a bronzer, but may I suggest you get a highlighting powder made for your natural (untanned) skin tone, and really show off your skin in it's glory?

Most likely it wont harm you or your baby in the slightest way. It's just like make-up, only the reaction that causes colour happens when the product is exposed to oxygen for a certain amount of time.

If you would feel better about yourself, then go for it! It's not poison. I do agree that a highlighting powder is a nice alternative though.

I got rid of all of my sunless tanning products when I got pregnant, even my stuff like Jergens touch of sun. I feel like the chemical that causes the tan could be potentially harmful and we just don't know it yet. A lot of the deeper tanners have a whole slew of chemicals besides just that one tanning ingredient (d-something?) also that I didn't want to absorb into my body, I am mostly using organic coconut oil to moisturize or a mildly scented and not too chemical product when I feel like I need to feel special. I would consider a tinted moisturizer for a special occasion though but because I think most of those are also pretty full of junk I wouldn't use it regularly either. I am also pasty and with winter dryness I have become blotchy and all of my veins are becoming extremely visible. I do NOT have that pregnancy glow, unfortunately.
