a pouch sling with 200wt fleece?

has anyone made a pouch sling with 200wt fleece that they really liked? I have a whole roll of Malden Mills 200wt fleece that I was using to make pocket diapers for my kids. NOW I am done with making diapers and don't know what to do with this fabric, I saw that there are some people making slings with 200wt fleece but they say they are polarfleece. I am not sure what the difference is?
So has anyone made a pouch sling with regular 200wt double velour fleece? I have made lots of pouch slings with cotton or batik and flannel but not fleece. I am curious about it and wanting others input. Would I use my serger?
thanks ladies in advance!!!!
I hope this is the right forum for this question!

I made two pouch slings from cheaper fleece from walmart. I guess you call that plain polar fleece, it is thinner than what you have. I used a free pattern that called for french seams so they are strong. I love mine, used it last winter when ds was a newborn and again this winter!
