January Obsess and Test - Page 3

Rochelleann- You should start charting. That is what will help you conceive--even with a long cycle--because if you know when you are fertile or can predict when you will be fertile you can time your romance to be extra nice around those times. I can't say for sure if, for your body, 97.5 is a post O temperature or not. Once you have temped for a cycle or so you may see a pattern or at least can know what to look for. Taking Charge of Your Fertility or the fertility friend charting course could help you more.

stellamia- Yeah. My BFF is saying that too. I'm just really trying not to get my hopes up (I mean it would be a freaking miracle! And we would just absolutely fall all over ourselves with joy!) but then I see a pink line where I've never had a false positive before and well...a girl can dream...

Everyone- Rest assured I'm am a testing fool! Almost everytime I pee I am testing with a Wondfo test. I can't find any info on these other than that they allegedly have a sensitivity of 20. I also have no idea where in the testing area to look for the 2nd line...that helps, you know? I have 2 more FRERs. I'm going to try to wait until Sunday but we'll see. The negatives don't bother me but they aren't cheap! If I'm gonna be having a baby next fall I need to be more responsible with my money. Heck, I might as well be peeing on $5 bills, right?! Yeah, I didn't think that would fly with this group... Dh is all on board with the testing so that's good.

As extra "luck" I went ahead and picked up my 3 months supply of infertility drugs. I figure the price tag on that alone will help turn these tests positive!

Here's hoping!

Mae- I'm hoping for you too...

Rochelleann, welcome you are in good company, (good at being bad!) sound like you are going to really look forward to compulsively charting rather than just compulsively testing!
without any confirmation you have o'd you really have nothing to go on but really general things and your intuition, sorry there is not more.
you could possibly test a progesterone test or a few other tests to find out what part of hte cycle you are in, or just wait it out.
if your cycles are really irregular, have to talked to someone about it? it will certainly help to chart, you will learn a lot.

have you had the book "Taking Charge Of Your Fertility" recommended to you, i whole heatedly do, this book will show you tons about your cycle and how to chart, it is really great. even if you thought you knew what is going, this shows you more, it sure did for me!

AFM_

humor me if you will on this obsessing, i know you ladies will
i have been testing bfn, i'm currently 13dpo but you can better call it 12.5 for the purpose of this issue since i am basically sure i o'd very late in the evening on CD15 (i was triggered the day before and they say 36-48 hrs later and that puts it just when i felt it, it was very very strong and could have been up to 3 follicles that i had that were full size.
the other thing to add is i have no history of early testing to base when i would be getting a accurate test, even though i know each pregnancy is different for all women, i wish i had anything to go off of. i have had bfps before, years ago, but they all very late like 7-9weeks gestation since they were shockingly unplanned.

so back to this cycle.
i have had a trigger shot, so symptoms are wonky and unreliable and could be attributed to that.

and i have been bfn up till this point. but yesterday i have a BIG temp drop, with no explanation and back right up today. i have also had the slightest smoothly pink cm with one small streak, only found when i check deep near my cervix, it is not from the checking itself, that i know of, i have never had that and it was not just a streak in white cm a i would assume bothering my cervix would bring.

So could yesterday be a implantation dip? it would not explain any of my symptoms so far, so in that way it does not clear things up (the could have been explained by the shots though), could i have implanted on 13dpo?(maybe like 12.5 as mentioned earlier) could today's pink be something from implantation? i really never spotting before af, i mark it as such sometime just becasue it is not full flow yet, but it quickly goes from one to the other. the pink is already totally gone, completely, that was early this morning and and any day my af comes it almost always comes in early afternoon.

and that brings the other question, we talk about how long lp needs to be in general and that in a big way is based on when implantation usually happens... so how long does it need to be between implant and usual af? how long is long enough to get the signal to where it needs to be? i don't really expect af till sunday 16dpo over 50% of the time my lp is 15 days or up to 17 in a few cases. (ff is so great to get to look those things up!)

ok i'll shut up now, i know it is all silly conjecture and i will know either way on monday and hte rest is just a silly girl amusing her hopes, thanks for playing along

Thanks ladies! Yeah, I have started to chart, but I'm starting on CD 55+ so it's kind of annoying. I have TCOYF on request. They didn't have it here, so it'll be coming in next week on an inter-library loan. Unless, of course it would be better to have my own book?

Far out this is frustrating. I'm getting all sorts of weird stomach twinges this week. I feel like such a hypochondriac! I bought some new clear blue electronic pregnancy tests a few weeks ago, and I've been saving them. Have any of you tried them? I also have a bunch of tests (albeit a dwindling supply) from early-pregnancy-test.com. Only 10 left. Should get me through to the end of next week if I'm lucky!

Until I get the hang of charting etc. I'm not going to be much use answering questions. But, I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions for you guys (if you don't mind helping a girl out every now and then! ) Such a wealth of knowledge in here!

TCOYF is a thick book with a lot of good info, one that you will probably go back to time and time again, it would not be a waste to buy.

so what's the deal with blue veins on the boobs? i think i can remember a time on my life that i have seen these, but i have no idea what part of my cycle i was in, it certainly hasn't been since i have been ttc. and today they have really come up on my already really sore boobs? what can you gals tell me? is this another one of those could be a preggo sign could just and easily be a af is near sign?

I'm not sure but I have the same thing happening right now and i'm 6 dpo today. I still am having a few craps here and there but they aren't like my AF craps...and I can't seem to be getting enough sleep the past day or so (i've been on the same work schedule for 3 1/2 years so i'm use to only sleeping 5 hours a day with having a 6 yo at the house and working 12 hour shifts at night...so not getting enough sleep isn't my problem either) I don't want to read into too much stuff but I do believe Adorkable that i've heard that blue veins on your boobs is an early sign....again i really don't wanna get my hopes up lol....but maybe this month is our month!!! I am thinking about starting my testing within the next 3 days and just test a couple of times a day until i get BFP or AF shows up. I don't think i'm going to be able to hold off on testing until Jan 9th! I know it's only a week but that will be the LONGEST week of my LIFE!!!!

Still feeling icky without a fever... Temp dropped a couple tenths of a degree today but nothing huge or worrisome.

No tests anymore. Will when i get home to my 48 tonight... sadly these are the last few moments with DF (and we are spending it driving in lake effect snow to the airport)

I had a big temp drop this morning. Could be implantation, could be nothing. Had hot flashes on and off all night...no + this morning but it is still too early. Why am I testing again? Oh, that's right, cause I feel like maybe, maybe. Sigh.

Adorkable- Blue veiny boobs is definitely a pregnancy sign! Keep on hanging in there! I'm going to go stalk your chart after I finish this post.

Mae- I'm going to go look at yours as well...

Brichole1214- Hang in there! Test when you feel like it. Really, it's the only sensible solution.

Rochelleann- While you're waiting for TCOYF I'd suggest taking the Fertility Friend charting course online. Also, my RE told me that if any cycle got to day 45 I needed to be calling him for progesterone. Do you have an OB/RE?
Oh, not because anything is wrong but that it is important for bone health and hormonal health to cycle regularly.

I'm obsessing over possible early pregnancy signs right now... which could be pre-af related or could just be unrelated to anything.
Last night I was sitting on the couch and my heart started beating really hard for about 6 beats. The last time that happened was during my last pregnancy, when it would happen frequently during each trimester.
Also, my bbs are sore, but that could be af.
I tested today. I'm 7 dpo (or 8- I might be 8). BFN. But our timing was so good that I'm not giving up hope. My temp was also way up today, but we turned the heat up last night because it's freezing outside. Only time will tell!

Okay, could this be ectopic? That I'm having so many symptoms without a positive test? What made me think was I had a little bit of pain (not exactly cramping...but I thought, "I wonder if you can feel implantation?" Then I thought, "You wouldn't be having symptoms before implantation, right?" Then I thought, "Ectopic?"

Trying not to freak...anyone know?

Thanks,
Jenne

Jenne- I have no idea. If you are concerned, you should really call your dr. They could at least do the blood test for you even if they don't think you're in any danger of an ectopic, right?

Thanks for the info, Jenne. I don't have access to an OBGYN (live remote Alaska), but perhaps our local doctor would prescribe it to me. Worth a shot! I agree though, and it's something I've been concerned with for a while, but on the few instances I've traveled to Anchorage to see a specialist they've told me it's normal to be irregular and haven't done any tests (at all!). All they've done is talk to me. Very costly trip for no answers.

I went ahead and ordered TCOYF on amazon. Should be here next week!

I'm on day 3 of tracking my BBT. Is it normal to experience major fluctuations? For the past two days I was 97.4 & 97.5 but today my temp dropped down to 96.2!!! Of course, I jumped online and read up about low temps and it said it is a sign of hypothyroidism and or PCOS. Both have symptoms that include irregular or lack of AF. I'm wondering whether I should just go ahead and order my own tests for those things, since the doc doesn't seem interested in doing so.

BFN this morning. Hope you guys are seeing some FPL's!

Jenne- try not to panic. You said you were 5 or 6dpo, right? I guess it would depend on how much pain exactly, or if you have a history of ectopic. I can tell you that one of my pg I did not test pos until 15dpo and it was a fine healthy pregnancy that went to term. In my first pg, I had all this pain around one side of ovaries, thought it might be ectopic, but it turns out to be just very common to get cramping/pain from where you O'd especially if the corpus luteum persists into pregnancy. That first pg also was just fine.

Forgot to add that you are in the window for implantation to happen, so that could be it and a lot of women report 'twingy ovary pain' around that time in the 2ww. Oh, and some just get ovary cramp/pain after O when they are not pg, too.

rochelle: i would definitely see an RE sooner rather that later. It took almost six months for me to get a final diagnosis of PCOS; started at my regular doctor ("just relax"), my gyno ("everything seems fine to me"), a hormone specialist ("hypothyroidism"), and finally an RE. I'm not saying you have PCOS, irregular cycles are symptoms of a lot of different things. But IMHO it is better to get some answers as soon as you can. Good Luck!

AFM: I am 7dpo today. I don't think I'm having any symptoms; I am tired and hungry, but that could be because DH and I both have the day off and are lazing around the house Also, my nipples are sore, but not my entire boob? Is this normal? Usually close to AF my boobs are very sore, but this is just the nipple? Weird. Trying to wait to test until 10dpo...

Good to know!!! Will definitely make an appointment this week.
I hear you on the sore nipple thing. Mine are super sore too, although I'm pretty sure it's because my 3yo has a knack of kicking me in the boobs when he climbs into our bed in the morning. Every single day.

Fingers crossed yours means you're up the duff!!!
