January Obsess and Test - Page 24

HulaJen- thanks SO much for your response. All day I have tried to forget about clinging to hope in regards to my chart. I suppose you are right though I should see what happens tomorrow. I appreciate your cd 87 O plan with implant dip. Let's do that!

babygrey- thanks fro your reply to my question. I have not heard of breastfeeding increasing progesterone... what i understand is it increases prolactin, the nursing hormone that makes milk and suppresses ovulation. Is that what you meant, or is this something I need to learn about? Of course if it were true that would bring higher temps with it. Thanks! Oh I hear you on the poas addiction. Today while shopping I almost caved and bought acuclear tests... hey they were cheap! And once, years ago they gave me a line before any other test ( it was a squinter, but I didn't know that then!) a few days before my bfp. But I held out, cause I would only be at the most 6dpo IF ovulation has happened... It is hard to wait, isn't it.

And thanks, Kingsdaughter, for your supportive comments! I am glad your insanity is over!

Gah, no, you're totally right. Progesterone is not up in bf'ing. My misread of something. Duh. Could've taken a minute and thought that one out... Just really wanted there to be an easy answer for the both of us about whether or not the temp increases are O or not. My admiration to you for holding out on buying the tests. I, on the other hand, caved and bought a 3pk of FRER (stupid pink wrap, tho) b/c they were on a really good sale. This ttc thing is making me straight up nutty!

For those of you who don't know me, I'm bf'ing and may or may not be O'ing (my first ppaf cycle). Optimistically, tomorrow I'm 10dpo (pos opk+CF but I didn't start temping until mid-cycle, so I can't confirm temp shift). Less optimistically, I'm 3dpo (another pos opk).

Do you fellow poas-a-holics think I would be insane to test again tomorrow FMU?? Is that a waste of a test?? What about if I have a temp rise? Can I justify that?? Chart's here: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2c383d

I realized I have a dentist appt on Wednesday, so if the unthinkable happened and I was pg , I would want to know that and not get xrays... (rationalizing here... LOL)

I know, I know... poas can't MAKE me pg... but still...

I hate to be on the "less optimistic side" but to perhaps save you a couple tests- to have temps in the 96 range, I would say you did not O until cd31 at the earliest- but like you said, there aren't enough temps to confirm this. And especially if you are still having EWCM it is more likely to have not O'd yet or could be Oing cd32. Thermal shift is primary O indicator above CF and pos OPK. Either way, you have your BDing covered so I wouldn't fret. But I also wouldn't waste any tests just yet.

Im also going to have to be pessimistic here... I dont think you have Oed at all yet. But while still BFing your cycles are not very likely to go right back to being normal length as any change in the amount baby BFs day to day can be enough to hold off an O that was pending. You will likely get a lot of EWCM and a lot of +OPKs between now and when O actually does happen... but your temps really do not say to me that it has yet.

test again tomorrow. a bfp at 5dpo is possible, not likely... but possible.

thanks Mae. i will test in a few days. i only have one test left and while my cramping is weird, im not so sure.

Bleh. I feel like AF will be here any second now. I cramped really badly after sex last night and my back is killing me this morning along with super sore boobs.

I kept the hpt I took yesterday and it makes me want to develop some sort of hpt that maybe dissolves (like a flushable one!!!) after you take it so that you can never ever ever look at it again. Yesterday when I took that stupid test a little bit of color stuck to the second line but eventually drained away and now it has just the prettiest evap on it I've ever seen.

I am going to take my grandmother to this adorable touristy town not far from here called Eureka Springs and I am kinda hoping AF will show up in the next couple of hours just so I can have a nice big, guilt free glass of wine with dinner tonight. My temp rarely falls until AF is already here so I can't count on that for anything. I can't get to the store to buy tests until tomorrow so if AF isn't here yet, I will probably end up testing tomorrow pm and then with fmu on 14dpo. It's hard to straddle that line between being so sure AF is coming and having some hope since this is 12dpo and I've been having 10 day LPs the past few months.

Personally... and this is just me... I would have that glass of wine anyway

at 12dpo that alcohol will not get anywhere near the baby and will be out of your system long long long before it could.

and the wine could help relax you a bit.

sorry, wrong thread--had to delete.

Wow! This is THE PLACE for me! My husband has been teasing me about my Pee Stick Obsession...this month I asked him to buy me a pack of walmart tests while he was out and he brought back the dreaded blue ink tests, which I didn't realize until I had opened one. So I took one on 5dpo (faint pos if it was pink, but I know better), 6dpo (neg), 7dpo(neg) and then I dragged him back to walmart this weekend for more tests...I got Answer tests this time and got a BFN on 10dpo and yesterday (12dpo). So of course I went on fertility friend and looked up all the charts where people had gotten BFNs on 12dpo and BFPs on 13dpo. There were tons! But I feel a bit hopeless anyways--very crampy.
I'm sitting here trying to tell myself that I won't buy another test when I'm out doing errands this afternoon....
What do you guys think? This is my first PPAF cycle, hence not having a ton of hope for a BFP...also, the nearest dollar tree is WAY to far to justify the drive.
Anyone here gotten a BFP the morning after a BFN that late in the cycle?

We just realized the trolley doesn't run in that town except on Thursdays through Mondays so we have to wait until Thursday because my grandmother is disabled and can't walk around the town. So I have to wait a few days on that wine anyway (yay dry county!) Oh well. I am making a big breakfast to make myself feel better.

that depends on your definition of BFN

I had some BFMs on tests that are supposed to be more sensitive than FRER...

12dpo on my IC which does not look particularly positive in this pic though I swear I could see a line in person... an extremely extremely extremely faint line... one that I wouldnt have seen if I were not obsessing over it in every lighting possible. but I couldnt photograph it.
http://canyouseealine.com/view_home_...fm?testID=5118

I got this on 13dpo http://canyouseealine.com/view_home_...fm?testID=5152 which to me seems it most certainly would have looked BFN the day before

By 14dpo: http://canyouseealine.com/view_home_...fm?testID=5166 (and the bottom is my 13dpo one)

By 15dpo: http://canyouseealine.com/view_home_...fm?testID=5182

All of my supposedly super sensitive ICs, 11dpo-20dpo: http://canyouseealine.com/view_home_...fm?testID=5292

Then by 24dpo: http://canyouseealine.com/view_home_...fm?testID=5373

Thanks Maeryn--I love the picture timeline! I didn't spend as much time squinting yesterday as I normally do-I tried to be strong and just throw the test away. Of course, now I'm regretting that!
I do remember having cramping in early pregnancy with DD, so that could explain that....I guess I'll just have to test!
You're most recent test looks soooo pretty! Can't wait for my dark BFP!

yeah, Im 6 weeks now... still tempted to test again just to watch that line show up dark... didnt have that happen for any of the ones i took until that most recent one.

and I have had AF like cramping for the past two weeks... though I never get cramping with AF anymore (not since I stopped using tampons)
I used to not cramp with my period, but this is my first PPAF cycle, so who knows...and I definitely had cramping before my PPAF....so...
But that is not stopping my from POAS today in all likelihood! I'm about to go out, and I think I'll pick up a FRER if they don't have answer....or maybe I won't cave...I just wish there were a closer Dollar Tree!

Bettina- sorry can't see it, but you are super early

babygrey- judging by temps I have to second the idea that you haven't O'd yet. Also not enough pre rise temps to know.. but 96's is very low for O... and still having ewcf.

simplyrochelle- great idea on the flushable hpt! DH said the other day they should make one that is auditory instead of visual... insert pleasant female voice:"bing... you are NOT pregnant// you are pregnant". We were cracking up joking about that... advertise for those who really need to hear the news to believe it and just can't believe their eyes... hehe. Kinda why I don't like digitals. Except when I am pregnant, lol.

Maeryn- beautiful test progression...wow even the 14dpo ICs are hard to see! super sensitive? would you please confirm for me that no O has happened yet? I need to hear it from you. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2b120f

Anyway, pretty much counting myself out - another temp drop today... No sign of AF.

id say... while its possible you have oed... it was not at cd76 but at cd87 if at all.

it is also possible no O has happened yet

but for 100% certain, you did not O at cd76.

Thanks Maeryn! I just saw your response to my O post.. so thanks. I tend to agree with that assessment.
