Homemade Bisquick

Does anyone know how to make a baking mix like Bisquick? I have a few good recipes that call for it, but I don't want to use the packaged stuff. I know it must be just flour, baking powder/soda and some kind of oil. Any ideas?

I have always had trouble making biscuits but the key is, mix the butter and flour and salt with baking powder in clumps and do NOT overmix. It will make them into hockey pucks. There is a very thin line into overmixing and it takes just the right touch.
