So, long story short, I went to the OB's office yesterday seeing some spots, a headache that wouldn't go away (4 days, and medicine wouldn't really touch it), and a home reading on a BP machine of 135/82 (I'm usually around 100/60). At the office my pressure was up to 152/80 (part of that was definitely nerves!) and I had trace protein on the dipstick. She ordered bloodwork and a 24 hour urine. She didn't really have any answers for us, in fact she said, "I have no idea why your BP is up." She obviously ordered the labs, and then she wants to see me in a week and instructed me to keep monitoring my BP at home.

This is my 2nd pregnancy, and I didn't have Pre-E or PIH with my 1st. Is there a chance that I could have just had a wonky episode from a migraine and not that I've developing PIH? I've been keeping track of my BP at home, and it's great lying down -- 110s/70s. I have had a couple of readings back up at 135/85 when stitting up, but it's not always that high sitting up. I'm still sick with some sort of cold/sore throat/sinus stuff.

I'm not planning on burying my head in the sand if this is something serious (and I know my doctor won't either), but I also would love to hold on to hope that this is just a one time thing and I have nothing to worry about.

Anyone have any similar stories/experiences?
