rinsing diapers

I am new to cloth. Just wondering, what do you use to rinse the diapers before putting in the pail?
TIA!

I use a diaper sprayer (the kind that is connected to the toilet) for poopy diapers.

I've never rinsed the dipes. I do use flushable liners however.

Once they started eating solids, I would either spray the poopy diapers down in the toilet with the diaper sprayer or just shake off the more solid poops. Then before washing them I would do a quick cold wash with no detergent. When they were exclusively breastfed all diapers went straight into the pail.

If they're poopy they get attacked with the diaper sprayer. If they're just peed on they go directly in the pail.

Great, thanks! I wasn't sure if I needed to buy the sprayer, but looks like it is pretty useful for that.

I just shake the solid into the toilet & ometimes swish it around if it's sticky. Diaper sprayer may be handy but not necessary.

I love my diaper sprayer... I didn't have one for a brief period. But I am relatively new to CD, why do you do a cold wash??

I never rinse. All dipes go directly into the diaper pail except I shake poop off into the toilet. Before solids, all diapers went into the diaper pail. When I wash, I do:

--power rinse on cold (gets all the poop/pee out so youre not washing in it)
--hot wash w/ detergent
--extra rinse cycle
--dry
--sun out stains

I never use a sprayer.

I shake the solid into the potty and put my diaper into my pail. With loose or messy stool I just put into the pail. I do a rinse cycle first and that takes away all the mess on the diapers ( poop and pee), then I wash my diapers on hot with home made detergent to extend the life of the diaper. I put my diapers in the dryer, and on hot days hand dry.

my oldest son is on a pediasure diet and his stools are never firm, I add a cup of vineger to my rinse cycle, its a natural disinfectant. Then finish with a regular wash with detergent.

I looooooove my Diaper Sprayer and use it from birth. I can't imagine diapering without it! I also use it on my own bum and loooooove it even more for that!

Thanks. Well my DS just started solids, so maybe I will see how it goes without for a bit, and see if I would rather have a diaper sprayer.
I think I will want one, like a PP said, not only for the diapers but also to use for myself!

We used to have a diaper sprayer and then poopy ones got sprayed off... but our sprayer died a while back and so now we just dunk and rinse in the toilet itself. Slightly more gross but it works. Ones that are just wet just go in the pail.

Just starting solids now but I've never rinsed/sprayed diapers
