Okay, I went through the old homeschooling books. I can't bring myself to get rid of some of the ones that are unused (might need them later for my DD, though it'll be YEARS before she's at the grade level some of these books are!). Here are the counts for the used texts and workbooks I'm recycling:

43-54. (12) used/unsellable homeschool workbooks & texts
55. (2) old Rainbow Resource catalogs
56. pack of old used notecards

I am totally up for this challenge! So far:

1 pair of extremely "done" underwear (trash)
6 2009 calendars (recycling)
12 unwanted pantry items (food bank)
2 slightly outdated children's books (Rescue Mission)
1 hand-knit winter hat (mailed to a friend who wanted it)
1 sheet of expired coupons (recycling)
1/2 of a leftover eggplant parmigiana sub (tummy)

Slow but steady, right?

Did some stuff the last few days, but left my little piece of paper with my numbers at home. Will have to update tonight or tomorrow. I did drop a rocking horse my kids have outgrown at the donation box so I can at least add one to my total

Brought in a new crock pot and bounce house yesterday; added 30 items from dd's outgrown clothes to the donation bin.

It is freezing outside today, so after a brief trip to the shops, myself and DD "played" in the junk room/guest bedroom for the afternoon and we got through a good few boxes, the room looks so much more "guest bedroom now" and....

I've passed 300!

2 old broken toys - bin
3 un-reusable cardboard boxes - recycling

A bit more to add:

1 pr dd1's old sneakers (too worn out for anyone to use)
1 old ripped up book (I hate throwing books out but this was beyond repair)
5 other assorted bits of junk

= 7

I hope to do at least one room this weekend.

My starting accomplishments for today:

1-5: Unneeded and unused undersink items, all contents properly disposed of and containers recycled.

6-13: Two sweaters, five shirts, and a skirt for donation.

14: Beat up pair of shoes, trash

15-30: Two dishwasher baskets, an old purse, a nautical themed candle holder, two votive holders, an inflatable bath pillow, a Wicked Soundtrack CD, and various other random items. (Freecycle)

31-50: Toys, board books, and back issues of Baby Bug that my kids have outgrown. (Freecycle)

I can't wait to add to this list!

Edited to add:

51: Pedestal sink base, to the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store
Well, the Re-Store wouldn't take the sink base and I have tried twice (unsuccessfully) to get it off to a good home via Freecycle so, unfortunately, it ended up curbside this morning.

52-60 : A tiny flower pot, a small candle set, two trinket boxes, and other knick knacks.

Subbing and I will begin purging this weekend.

Tomorrow Im taking some "baby toys" as my DS3 calls them to be dropped off for charity.

Sunday Im taking a trip to the nearest city to take back a ton of unwanted X-mas presents that have been sitting in the corner for the last couple weeks!

I will update when I get done.
