Thanks! You can get it without buying the book by just removing the book from your cart before final check out but be aware it will try charging your card to verify its a valid payment method as soon as you sign up for prime. No idea if it tries placing a hold on $1 or what but I only found out because it tried checking my debit card which is currently marked as "stolen" while I await a new one so of course it was declined. I just switched it to my paypal card and it was fine but I do have a couple bucks in there so unless they tried more then the usual $1 it would come back as an active account.


I had to laugh, when I first saw this thread I was like, Amazon is giving away a free Optimus Prime?! lol, dd is on a Transformers kick yeah, way to much transformers books and cartoons around here.

Yup, I noticed the same thing too...I just wanted to delete some items from my cart and went back to it later...so, I never had to place the order for the book.

Weird, mine just expired and it worked for me.

I didn't have to put the order through, just go to the final page BEFORE submitting and then back out and I had it.
