Nightmare at the in-laws

We are visiting BIL and SIL for 2-3 weeks.

Anyway... their house has tons of ants. Ants don't bother me... however spraying Raid all over the house repeatedly does! I'm pretty sure tons of my bathroom stuff, the toilet seat, and my Vita-mix got hit. I think it got on DS2 too when he three a fit in the bathroom. Hello... if it kills things, don't stray it on the toilet!!!!

Anyway... how the hell to do I get it off everything. DH wiped everything down, but I think it's still there since ants are dying when they crawl there.

umm, ewww, raid.
Can you buy some DE and sprinkle it around the base of the toilet and wherever the ants are coming in the house?

As for getting it off the toilet? soap and water? BS and vinegar?

The only solution I can foresee.

Motel 6.

Soap and water? Soaking and scrubbing? I can't believe they sprayed the toilet (were there ants there) and your bathroom supplies and vitamix. YUCK!

I second this motion.

What about those little ant traps that you put out where the ants take the food home and kill the colony? Seems a better bet in the long run then spraying raid. Plus better for the humans in the house.

I think I'd head to a hotel too. You could have a conversation with them about it and suggest the traps as a compromise, but no way would I stick around if they are spraying poison all over the place. YUCK!
