I (once again) wasn't sure if this thread belonged here or not but since it has to do with saving money, I figured here was good?
Anyway....within my group of friends, we have children of all ages.
I also have many friends who are doing foster care or who have special needs children.
One of my friends was talking the other day about storing toys and rotating them, etc because her son tends to just get overwhelmed with too many toys in the house.
This got us to talking about a toy co op
If all of us who wanted to "share" our toys got together somehow...either by an email list or in person and listed what we have that we are not using currently or what we have that we'd like to just pass on forever, etc, then we could (hopefully) avoid having to run out and buy toys because we could possibly pull from the
co op.
What do you all think? Has anyone done anything like this? TIA
(ps. I realize there would have to be guidelines, time frames for borrowing based on the owner's needs, respectfully replacing an item if it gets broken, etc)
