Still breech and I'm going crazy! :( :( - Page 2

My baby was breech, so I started going to a chiro at 34 weeks. He turned head down at 35 weeks, and then back to breech at 36. My midwives back up ob is willing to do an ecv next week when I am 38 weeks. I'm still hoping that since he has already turned twice he'll do it once more, right now he is footling, so nobody around here will even consider a vaginal delivery. He turned pretty quickly once I started at the chiro, and it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. My chiro also suggested that I get on all fours and try to get in the water. My baby goes crazy in the water, I just fill the tub all the way up and make sure my belly is under water. Good luck on getting that baby turned!

Do you have any wood or tile floors? I'm planning on getting myself some knee pads and scrubbing all of ours by hand once I get a little farther along, if this babe isn't in a good position! LOL I figure it may coincide with my nesting needs, and I know I won't get a chance to do it again for a year or two so it is an all around win If you only have carpet, what about wiping down base boards?

With DD1, I studied spinning babies and paid close attention to their info on how NOT to sit - i.e., not reclining back on the sofa to read or watch tv. Instead, I got myself a yoga bolster pillow and put it on the floor in front of the chair or sofa and sit on that. It allows me to keep my hips rotated properly with my knees hanging off the edge, below my hips. I just put another soft pillow behind my back for comfort. I recently got it out to start doing this again.

Doing yoga cat-cows when the baby is active is supposed to encourage turning as well.

Good luck mama! You do have time. I understand the fear - this babe was very contently breech at my 20 week US and though I know that is way early I couldn't help but start to think about how to correct it if she doesn't on her own. :

I also wouldn't be too concerned yet, as babies really do turn up until the very last minute. I second the recommendations to try a chiropractor who does the Webster technique, as well as the Hypnobabies CD on turning a breech baby, and the acupuncture. Any and all of these have proven to work really very well.
