Ok, I am feeling rock-star-like.
My workstudy student babysitter cancelled, but when I mentioned our upcoming dinner to our afterschool babysitter, she volunteered to take my kids for the evening, and so I have put my backup plan into motion.
And I was really affirming of my workstudy student that she made her decision carefully and I was proud of her. (She has a hard time saying no.
And - cleaned two nasty bathrooms, vaccuumed/cleaned the LR, family room, kitchen, and kinda cleaned up the master bedroom, did a mountain of laundry which I'm about to fold, and am psychologically prepared to be Spouse of Candidate. (Which raises the question: why is the house usually destroyed when dh is home with the kids all day?)
Plus, tomorrow work is cancelled, so I can run at my leisure.
Thanks for the good wishes. This job would make a big difference to dh and to our finances, which are pretty dang wobegotten right about now. Sigh.
Geo, that's a fascinating article!
Nic, we had some road work done, with diggers and then a whole road repair crew when ds was about 2.5 just a block from our house. That was when I started declining his nursing requests out of modesty. Just could not nurse a big ol' kid in front of the work crew.
