Losing my mind

DS2 has been wanting to nurse CONSTANTLY, day and night. He has started waking 4+ times a night to nurse- more than my 7 month old and he wants to nurse CONSTANTLY during the day, often taking temper tantrums if I have to nurse the 7 month old (both day and night).
I don't know what to do! I'm seriously losing my mind. I am SO EXHAUSTED.

Stop nursing him at night. He'll be upset but he'll get over it and you will get some sleep and be a better mommy for it.

Wow, that sounds really hard.

I'm sure you have already thought of this, but do you have any ideas what has caused this change? Any chance he is sick, have there been any big changes in his schedule? Anything upsetting him? Was it an immediate drastic change or a gradual increase? Is he eating regularily?

Yeah, it's occurred to me since posting this that I messed up with one of his food sensivities the other day (I ate some coconut milk) and that was probably the catalyst.
Hoping things will get back to normal quickly.

Oh, poor both of you! Does he still nap? Can you get some sleep while he naps? Or can you pay/bribe oldest DS to play with him a bit while you get some rest it. I hope things get back to normal ASAP! Take care of yourself

occasionally but not today it seems.
i declared today an official tv/couch day and i've been half-dozing on the couch anytime ds3 is nurse-sleeping. ds1 spent NYE with a friend so was gone most of the day.
going to try "sneaking" some extra vitamin c and magnesium into him to try to counter the reaction. poor kiddo.

*hugs* I hate food reactions... I hope he starts getting back to baseline soon - *energy to you*

So sorry- I know first hand how hard that is. Here's hoping that once the reaction subsides, things are back to normal again.

My dd went through a period like this and honestly, I ended up nightweaning her. It's worked pretty well (except for right now because I think she's getting her two year molars, so there's occasionally some drama around 4am...) but I really never had to be forceful about it. She fussed for about a minute or so when I refused her at night and then fell back asleep. I never would have done it if it had been overly traumatic for her, but oddly enough, she seemed ready (which I never would have imagined before I tried it).
