5hours of painful contractions 2-3 minutes apart and then they just stop!

How to get it going again? all suggestions welcome.

we might go to Ikea today (if they are open) to walk around and see if that gets things going again.

I knew i should have gone to the hospital sooner. at least then i know they would have admitted me and broke my water.

Be careful. You don't want this to be you:

good luck, just don't exhaust yourself trying to get her out. You need to have some energy for real labor.

OMG that was hilarious! Can you imagine?

If you are already having bloody show, castor oil can kick things into high gear... It tastes gross but its EFFECTIVE

LOL I don't know why I find that video so funny. Forget IKEA- how about Pottery Barn?

I am sorry that your ctx stopped, but it sounds to me like your body is doing something, so at least it will be soon!

OMG... OMG... OMG... Thank heavens we don't have an Ikea here... The craziest furniture store I could give birth in is Weekends Only.

I just found that youtube to be hilarious...not sure why either?? Blame it on the pregnancy hormones

Lizzie Ann, your baby will be here very soon. Do you believe in chiropractic care? Your baby may just be slightly off in your pelvis.

Mix it with pepsi - it can't make the pepsi taste worse but it does make the co taste better.

the best way i've found that makes it bearable is to mix it in a root beer float!! by the end of the glass i start gaggin, but it's not as greasy and nasty.

I tried cooking it with eggs... blech blech blech. wasted 2oz of CO and 3 eggs. lol

I've been taking one pill of EPO and one pill of my women's laxative. so far that hasn't really helped.

Also, i believe in chiropractic care, but my insurance doesn't cover it and dh won't pay for it.

EPO is most effective when taken in increasing dosages in the last month. At this point take a couple PO and insert another 1-2 up as close to your cervix as you can before you go to bed.

Don't have any advice to offer, but it must be frustrating to be going through this. I hope your labor starts up again, and you soon have a healthy baby

ok.. I'm just popping in because this is so freeking exciting
post #17 of 22
I thought the same thing last night lol
It was the first time this pregnancy that I actually thought "Hmm maybe I'll have her before my due date."
Then about an hour ago I started to have bloody show...

Soo... who knows. Hurry up and wait I guess.

At least it's our month now!!

TMI warning for the sexually squeamish

Lizzie Ann, have you had your partner do everything he could to stimulate your natural supply of oxytocin?

Have you tried a breast pump or his mouth on your nipples while he is helping with clitoral stimulation...or well, I have read that semen is a very effective natural stimulant for labour, softens and effaces the cervix and your orgasm, should send your levels of oxytocin shooting high enough to kick things into gear...a lot less exhausting than Ikea and lot more palatable than Castor oil, and I THINK more fun, too. no?

I would soo do this. but this entire pregnancy my lovey feelings are just NOT there...like the thought of sex grosses me out. LOL poor dh.

I've been doing nipple stimulation since yesterday off an on, my nipples are getting a bit sore. I get like one contraction and that is it.
