We eat soup a lot, precisely because it is so easy, cheap and healthy! I think once your family gets used to eating it a lot they won't even notice anymore.
And I have the same problem with wanting to make everything at once!

Is that too much soup? :-P Despite the supposedly separate food plans, I heard grumbles about that. I think I put together a great plan full of whole foods, low on cost and effort for how many servings it will yield. I don't mind eating soup a lot :P I see a couple of meat pies in our future too, with the roast beef and veggies from the stew or soup and the mashed potatoes &/or easy puff pastry topping... yum.

my DH on the other hand isn't that big on soups.. especially not on bean soups.. and if he had soups they have to be really thick.. think stew thick.. Cream soups... not his style.. So, I don't make soups often.. but if your family likes them more power to you...
Out, my dinner plans fell through and I didn't have a back up plan, so we caved and went out.
I'm so happy to eat something I didn't have to cook!
