Jersey Shore???

Ok, I hate to admit it but I have watched a few minutes of Jersey Shore. Maybe I'm getting old but do (some) 20 somethings really act like this? I could not believe how "shamelessly" these young people acted. Our summers were spent bar hopping and such but the young ones on this show seem so reckless and acting with out conscience. I'm not judging so please don't blast me and most importantly I'm not basing my opinions on the ethnic backgrounds. What I'm wondering...as a parent, is this what I need to be concerned about. I know the all important " teach you children well" but what about outside imfluences?

So, anyone who has seen this show, could you please let me know what you think? I hope I'm not being old fashioned but, where do I draw the line and say I have done my best to raise you and hope that they respect themselves. By the way, my Little Ones are 8, 5 and 22 months. I know this is not an immediate worry.

Unfortunately, I do think this is the way this generation is going.

I watch Jersey Shore because it's completely mindless trash tv, but I'm old enough to know that it's completely mindless trash tv.

I saw on some documentary the other day that there was a study done on a remote island in the South Pacific somewhere, where they started beaming in MTV and the kids' behavior turned to crap.

I'm one of those people who wants to move her kids to the middle of nowhere and raise them in a cocoon, because I'm not a big fan of how kids act these days. (And I'm still in my 20's!)
