Where should I look for sewing pattern reviews?

I'm looking for a simple, effective, A-line skirt pattern in plus sizes (my waist and hips are different sizes) that I can use again- and again- and again to sort out my pitiful winter wardrobe. Where should I look?
I'm probably going to be sewing in cord, fwiw, as I have a couple of big lengths of the stuff.

For reviews http://sewing.patternreview.com/ is a good place to start.

Have you thought about drafting one yourself? You can use Amy's basic measurements for her 5 minute skirt for an a line skirt with a waistband. She adds 3" to the waist for an elasticated waist which you could reduce to 1.5".

You can mix that up with more serious drafting ideas like this one to make sure that your skirt shape will fit your hips at the right place.

Or

This one is for a gored skirt (ignore the photo with the swishy bits) and 4 gores would look good in in corduroy.

Craftster has wonderful community forums. In the clothing section, they have crafting for curvaceous crafters (finished projects and discussions/questions), and a sewing pattern review board. www.craftster.org
