Mei Tai or Beco for theme park?

I love my Mei Tai and wear it often. DD is 8 months old and a little over 20 pounds. We just got a Beco Butterfly II and it's really DH's, but I can "borrow" it.

I'll be spending a lot of time at theme parks over the next few months, and was thinking that having something that is easy to get off and on might be preferable to the Mei Tai, which is super comfortable, but a little cumbersome. But I haven't tried the Beco yet either.

Option 3 is to buy something like a Moby or Baby K'Tan, which don't seem like they would be the best alternative for this purpose, but I'm wrap-curious and I wouldn't want to spend more than about $40 for another carrier.

TIA for your input and experience! Happy New Year!

I wouldn't get a Moby or Baby K'tan. Those are really best for newborns and your dd is too big at this point. I know Moby says it's good up to 35 pounds, but that's not really accurate -- 20 pounds and it's too stretchy to be comfortable. Plus, it's more cumbersome than a mei tai for sure, and you can't do back carries.

I'd definitely try the Beco, and try it on your back. I love a buckle carrier for bigger babies, especially out and about, because there's nothing dangling on the ground.

I'd bring the mei tai too - you may prefer it to the internal harness of the Beco and can leave it tied to your waist..........just fold up the rest to look like a cool belt......with the harness thing I can't see how it would be faster.......
