What patterns do you use?

I'm thinking I'm going to take my sewing machine out of the basement. I would like to make my DD some clothes, probably in 24m/2T or bigger. What are your favorite patterns? What was really simple to make but stylish? In my random clicking of links, I came across this children's clothing line. Tea. I like the six piece set. And I think little girls look really cute in dresses with leggings. Has anyone seen patterns for something like that?

I love KwikSew patterns. http://www.kwiksew.com/default2.cfm They have a pattern similar to what was in your link. http://www.kwiksew.com/Catalog/cat_d...lDressSkirtTop They also have pattern books so you can make an entire wardrobe for several years from one book. I'm making clothes for my grandkids from the books that I bought for my kids. http://www.kwiksew.com/Catalog/Book_...t=Book_Toddler

I love pillowcase dresses. They're so easy to make, and versatile. They can be worn with nothing underneath, or as a tunic with a t-shirt and leggings. They're a good way to show off some really cute fabric, since the style is simple and you can pair it with solids. I can make a couple in an hour easily.

Thanks! The Kwik Sew Toddler book looks really good, and that pattern looks exactly like what I wanted.

I had never heard of pillowcase dresses. They look awesome and super easy! I have a friend who is queen of the thrift stores, I'll have her keep an eye out for cute vintage prints.

Here's a great free pattern for a kimono top that you could make longer for a dress. I just made two tops and it was so easy! Her flickr group shows a dress made from her pattern.

You can also google free sewing patterns. There are few good sites that I like, such as Sew, Mama, Sew! Here is a tutorial round-up for girl clothes.

Craftster also has a big tutorial round up on their Sewing Clothes for Kids forum.

I've also made 5 different versions of this jumper from New Look. (1, 2&3, 4, no pic of the 5th) And love it. They can be dresses or tunics and look great with pants underneath.

I love the tutes on Craftster. I also like Simplicity's It's So Easy patterns... lots of cute dresses, jumpers, skirts, etc. for little girls... and they sew up really quick.

ETA: I also love the tutorials over on indietutes. Cute, cute stuff!
