What was once our birthing tub has become our lovely outdoor hotub! I have pretty much left the hot tub maintenance to my husband but we are out of chemicals and I am not sure we have been using the most natural stuff. We have been using no chemicals lately but we have to drain it more often and that seems like a big waste as well. There is a lot of random stuff on the internet about some chemicals being safer than others, so I am hoping some of you wise mdc mama's can tell me what you do to keep your tub clean?

A relative of mine uses peroxide. Their pool supply store actually recommended it and they buy the peroxide from them. Although some natural farm feed companies will sell a 45gal drum of 35% peroxide for a fair bit cheaper.
It is LOVELY to sit in! No chemical smells, it leaves your hair and skin so soft and smooth, just so much nicer overall.
