nystatin suspension application

DH spotted a single white spot inside DDs cheek, I couldn't get a good look at it, but fearing oral thrush, I put a call into our doctor (DD and I have the same one). She decided we should treat for oral thrush without even seeing us and prescribed nystatin for both of us.

This was late yesterday, so we've not had much chance to practice putting it in her mouth, but the peek I did get inside it just now revealed a few more spots that look more thrush like, so I feel pretty confident of the diagnosis. However putting the suspension in is not easy, the dose we've been given is one ml in each cheek 4 times a day, problem is 1ml seems too much for just one side, I've been trying to hold her such that I can rock her and it covers as much skin as possible, but she still gags and swallows some as well as spilling out the side of her mouth, this makes a mess and makes her unhappy.

Does anyone know if this is the usual dose? or maybe DD has a small mouth?

I'm asymptomatic right now, cross your fingers for me, I had major ductal thrush with one kid and it was EXCRUCIATING, I want to get DDs treatment right in the hope of avoiding this!
