one hand typing....

is occasional wheat grass ok when preg? i find conflicting and vague info online. i am not a regular taker in general, but when pregnant i get horrible consipation that is not remedied by ANYTHING, doctor recommended or otherwise. 3 pregnancies and tried everything. the ONLY thing that helps when it is bad is to take a few wheat grass tablets before bed. next morning... ..............i do this once or twice/week.

Is this okay?

In Susun Weed's "Wise Woman Herbal for the Childbearing Year" wheatgrass is recommended during pregnancy for backache. She didn't list any warning. I wouldn't worry about it. I mean, I wouldn't take 5 shots a day or anything, but I would have some occasionally or even daily. I get a shot sometimes when I go to a store in town.

I don't know what you have/haven't tried, but here are some of what she recommends from her book for constipation. Who knows, there might be something that works:
Prunes (obviously), rhubarb, figs, and maple syrup.

I take wheat grass pills about 4 times a week, some weeks I do it 5 days. My midwife is fine with it.

Awesome thanks! After trying, reading, asking for every remedy out there, I find that wheat grass is my golden help. I will keep using it as needed to keep everything moving correctly.
