Help me find a sling for my picky baby

I have a five week old who fusses unless he's being held but hates to be "squished". Therefore he hates the moby I just bought and I don't know if he'd like a ring sling either. Any slings out there that support but don't squish? He likes to be kind of stretched out, not bunched up.
Thanks!

Have you tried legs out in the Moby? There's no reason at 5 weeks he has to have his legs froggied inside the carrier; try the hug hold with the cummerbund over his body but his legs out the bottom so they're free. Just make sure to spread each side from the back of his knee to the back of his neck so that his body is fully supported. Rotate his hips towards you so that he's sitting on his bum and thighs rather than dangling.

If that doesn't work out, then I'd recommend a buckle carrier or a mei tai with an adjustable base that can be narrowed so he can ride legs out. Buckle carriers that would probably work would be the Pikkolo, Connecta, and Beco, and mei tais with an adjustable base include CatBird Baby and Silly Goose.

Yeah, legs out could make the difference but also if you're putting him in cradle position, try upright. Lots of babes don't like the squishedness of cradle. I believe the hug hold Quirky is talking about is upright tummy to tummy and that could solve everything!

Theoretically a ring sling should hold baby identically to how a wrap does so I'd try to just make the wrap work!

My ds won't tolerate slings (because he demanded to be upright) or the moby.

The ergo+heart-to-heart insert and a chunei are the only 2 carriers i've been able to find he'll tolerate.

I would definitely try legs out - also check out the pikkolo
