Danielle,

I'm so sorry you are going through ALL of this right now. I really don't have any advice but wanted to send you a hug, and let you know if you need to talk you can call me anytime. Congrats on the grades-wow-I don't know how you do it, especially under all of the stress! You are really amazing!!
Have you found anyone to take the kids while you are in labor? I just saw your post about needing someone-give me a call, I may be able to help with that at least.

Ps- found a few more baby things for you

take care!!

Danielle, I cannot imagine dealing with all of that. Would you mind if I asked our pastor if they know of any resources/help that may be available to you?

Who is the opposing attorney?

You can put in a request for a delay for some of the court dates. If you get an attorney they can request a delay since they are new to the case. You could probably also request a delay since you are having health problems and are almost term pregnant.

I've gotta go. My kid says he's starving.
My ex's attorney's name is Carl McPherson. I know that I could request some extensions on the court dates but i don't have the TIME to even find out how to do that let alone fill it out, take it down to the courthouse, file it and hope that it gets approved and i also am unsure how that's going to affect me in the long run since ex isn't paying money now and he did request a "reconsideration" for the amount of court ordered payments. IF i were to find an attorney then I wouldn't mind having it extended.

and gosh don't kids just STARVE to death on a daily basis?!!! i swear it's like i never feed mine

i did find someone to kinda watch the kids. some people moved in next door with kids and our kids are playing together constantly and so far i feel really comfortable with them. i don't know much if anything about them but no heebie jeebies or anything. since they live right next door it'll be easy to send the kids over instead of driving etc. they are out of town this weekend so no baby today (yeah i can dream!) or tomorrow but otherwise i *think* it's going to work. thanks on the grades! i work hard and hopefully it'll pay off.

thanks again for the baby stuff! great stuff in there and that stuff plus the dipes i ordered (found a great package for $105 for some NICE ones!) and the all the clothes that have been donated from BF's bro, my ex's mom, and the stuff I've bought i am actually prepared! i just need one more nursing bra

I would welcome any resources no matter where they came from. Like I mentioned above I've got basic neccessities covered; food (boobs and food stamps), clothes, dipes, carseat. i just need a clone of me...or a winning lottery ticket.

Just finished buying a baby swing (my only real splurge unless fluff is a splurge! hehe) and wrote out one more weeks of rent and now i'm tapped out. I have $100 and I have to get a copy of the paperwork exh signed to be put on the birth certificate for ethan ($40) and have to have it overnighted b/c court is so close (another $40) and that's it.

I'm seriously hoping that this stress does not keep baby in. I'm wondering if the anemia is making him stay in as well (or if my body just LOVES 40wks or something ) but i'm trying to stay calm!

Anyone going to the airshow? I LOVE LOVE LOVE the airshow and i'll be darned if being 38 weeks is going to keep me from it! We're going tomorrow. Probably plan to get there around 11 or so, have a tailgate lunch and then spend the rest of the day there.

we will be at the airshow!

i have no help, other than you neeeeed to get a lawyer. if it takes you forever to pay them back or not. i didnt with my first marriage and it SCREWED me.

call a womens shelter and ask if they know of any pro bono lawyers or any lawyers that are known for helping single mamas out.

We did the air show today and I would have done things differently. I haven't been since I was a kid so maybe y'all know better than me. But...

I would have gone early - it took about two hours to get on base and park because there were so many people. Then we walked, I swear, a mile from our car to the entrance because we had to park so far away.

The info said no water or food allowed, so I obeyed. The lines were ridiculously long though, so we had some vitamin D for lunch supplied by the sun. Next year we will bring food and water. Maybe the turnout was more than they expected. I dunno.

Nevertheless, the planes were fantastic and Gianna was completely enthralled. Have fun!

Maybe next year I should start inviting people to my house for the air show. I live at Camino Seco/Irivington, so 2 miles from the east entrance at Kolb/Irvington and the show is always overhead.

Hey everybody!

Danielle, I am so sorry about everything you're going through. I'll ask my dad, who is a real estate attorney, if he has any leads of anyone who could help you, but it sounds like you've been using the right avenues, just without much luck. It really stinks.

I'm thinking positive things for your upcoming birth!! I would love to be there to take photos, etc., but hazel is still pretty much attached to me at all times and I would hate to have a crying baby in the background while you're in labor!

Re: airshow, we live in the flight path and it was been so loud for days!!! I've spotted a few air maneuvers and they look cool! But I'm such a sourpuss, I just keep thinking of all that jet fuel they're using!

I think I'm going to try to go hiking at Pima Canyon on Friday morning, if anyone is interested! It's wildflower time!

Headed to the Children's Museum this morning, probably about when they open at 9--in case anyone wants to join us.

hi everyone, not sure anyone remembers me as it has been, i dunno, nearly a year since i poked my head in to say hi. i have been lurking occasionally to check in on you all and i wanted to congratulate sarah and becca on their new baby girls. you are both such incredible, nurturing and creative mamas and it makes me happy to see your beautiful families expanding.

i had the chance to meet sarah, pam and becca last year but i had limited transportation and was dealing with some postpartum depression. anyway i have always really longed for the kind of warm community you all have and still hope maybe i can join in.

DD is nearly 18 months now and walking / running / talking / etc. i am still writing, sending work out & i applied for a phd program... i don't think i will get in, but it feels good to be putting myself out there. i've been making efforts to do what i do best / love outside of being a mother, and it has made such a difference in my mood and outlook on the world.

anyway, hello again!

Hi desertdessert,

Welcome back. I thought you had left Tucson.
Hi Deborah! Welcome back. Did you end up moving and then returning?

Glad things are going well for you. We'd love to see you again. Gia, Sofia and I are at Conner Park most days around 11:30 or 12 for lunch if you want to stop by, though I know that is naptime for most 18 month olds. My availability is limited now because I'm working outside of home, but I try to make time for kid times and mom times here and there for a little balance.
thanks pam and becca. we didn't end up moving. we are toying with a move in the near future but haven't pinned down anything yet and there needs to be some framework (phd and / or job(s)) for it to happen.

i forget where connor park is. are you teaching dance becca?

naptime has been weird for us lately--it had been around 11 or 12 but now is sometimes in the middle of the afternoon.

Welcome back Deborah!

Connor Park is on Glenn, b/n campbell and Tucson.

Carter and I (and Hazel!) also go to Himmel Park a lot. We'd love to meet you there sometime.

Needed

I'm asking for more favors...

I'm still anemic. 26.4% At that test I just had 2 iron infusions (IV).

I am wondering if I have internal hemmeriods that aren't really bleeding alot but somehow sapping the iron from me or my intestines ability to absorb it. I don't know. However if anyone has any of the following items I'd totally appreciate it.

Vit E caplets
Floradix iron (obviously i don't need the whole bottle but if you have some you aren't going to use i'll drink it!)
any kind of blood building tincture or a yellowdock tincture (or anything with yellowdock)
vit b12

any idea where to buy cheaper natural teas? i'm hoping loose leaf tea is still considered a food cause i have no money left so food stamps are it. i'm also going to get some aloe vera juice (its gotta be a food right?!). I wanted to get some Iron woman tea and nettles tea. I've also been encouraged to eat some liver (puke) but considering i am not getting the iron directly from pills and iv i want to make sure that if i'm going to gag that down that it def gets absorbed so all these other things are hopefully to heal whatever is going on.

Thanks for any ideas!

When I worked at the Red Cross, we would tell the donors to eat Cream of Wheat to bring up their iron. This list http://www.fatfreekitchen.com/nutrition/iron.html says oatmeal has same amount of iron as liver.

Also....I have not found anyone to watch the kids while I labor. I also was hoping to have someone snapping pics and taking video that WASN"T my labor coach. Anyone want to be present and take pics/vid (my camera)? Anyone want to watch kids on short (short!) notice? I don't have much to offer in return but I can get groceries (food stamps) for you or $40 or something like that for watching the kids. TIA
I am new to this thread and I'm not sure where you live, but I might be able to help you with child care. I have three dds, 6, almost 5, and 2 and an 8 month old son.

I live off of I-10 and Wilmot.

I am hoping to make it to one of these play dates someday.
PM me if you need help.

Amanda

ladies

I am in Sierra Vista and have been since the fall (we did a snow bird type winter here so DH could work). We are headed back to MI next week and plan on staying in Tucson a night or two so DH can ride his bike up Mt. Lemmon. I will have most of the day on Friday free. Are there any park dates or things planned that I could pop into with dd if you wouldn't mind?

DD is 13 months and walking all over the place. We have been to Reid Park and she loves it there.

For those of you who do toddler time at the libraries, which one do you like best (and why?) When my guy was little we went to Martha Cooper, but the librarian got promoted to Marana so we moved on to pre-school time. Now I'd like to start toddler time with my little one and I'm just wondering which is best (without actually having to do the work of checking them out myself.) We live near the U, so libraries in this area would work best.
