Cloth trainers recommendations?

My second son is 21 months and showing a lot of readiness signs. He has been cloth diapered for most of his life, but I've recently lost the mojo because he was growing out of all his dipes. So I am familiar with cloth. I tried using cloth on my older one starting much later and had a terrible time finding anything to fit him properly. Left over from him, I have two imse vimse trainers and 2 snap-ez eco. Neither are really great for a beginner that will still be emptying his bladder. I wouldn't use either for going out yet.

What brands do you like?
Which are good for beginners?
How many should I get?

I would say he has an average shape and is coming up on 30lbs.

I was looking at Antsy Pants and really like them. They go from 1T to size 6 and slide on like underwear and then unsnap for parents on the side. They come in packages ranging from 6-10 to 12-24 or you can get only 1 and most packages come with extra night boosters in microfiber or you can ask for a bamboo insert for extra charge.

I don't know how many you'd need though, it depends on how many he already uses during the day and night and how often you want to wash. My son is only 5 months, I was just curious about the brand after seeing an add on here and looked at it.

They seem the most impressive out of all other potty training ones because they are thin but have good absorbency. I suggested it to a friend of mine and she was excited because her son is 3 and still wets at night and was outgrowing a large fuzzi bunz.

Happy Heiny's has been making trainers for years.

I am a HUGE fan of the Imse Vimse trainers (actually, I am a HUGE fan of all things Imse Vimse). However, I agree they are not best for someone just starting out.

For a newbie potty trainer, I would strongly suggest the Happy Heiny's trainers. They can be stuffed so you can have as much absorbency as you need for any given situation. In addition, they have three styles...snaps on both sides, snaps on one side or no snaps. This way, you can get whichever one that makes sense for your child...more like underwear or more like a diaper.

Good luck!

I really like the imse vimse ones too. Cute, comfy, not bulky, perfect once we are further down the road.

I like the snap on the sides options - HH's fit my guys fairly well in the dipes so they sound like they are worth a try. I wanted to like Antsy Pants, but their web page irked me.
