severe stomach cramping

Friday night I was at the ER from 5 until 10:30 because I thought I was having a miscarriage. My stomach was cramping sooo bad. It had been hurting for about a day before I decided to go and I have never had pains that bad unless I was in labor. Well, they checked my hormon levels then took me for an ultrasound. As soon as she puts the little handheld gadget on my belly you could see the little bean....just where it should be. I even got to see its heartbeat...147!!!! I was 6 weeks 5/6days and the baby measured 7 weeks 5 days. I was so happy to know that my pregnancy wasn't being threatened. They still never figured out why I was doubled over in pain and luckily its gone now. I know it could've been from the stomach virus because everyone in the house except me got it. Have any of you been through this?

Yeah, actually--I think it's a bug going around. I had bad cramps last night and was starting to worry that I could be having pregnancy issues. However, the cramps were resolved in a different manner. Won't go into more detail because it's gross, but I definitely think it's a bug.

I had this a few weeks ago! It was pretty awful and scary... sorry you went through it too. I was convinced it was food poisoning/ bacterial, since they finally prescribed me an antibiotic and all of my symptoms cleared up right away. But the tests were negative, so who knows.
It was terrible having dreams every night for a week of miscarrying because of all of the crampy abdominal pain
